Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire sponsored and hosted the British (later English) Chess Federation Junior Masters for 6 years from 2000 to 2005.

The College is part of Ampleforth Abbey, a Benedictine Monastery which is home to one of our members, Justin Caldwell.

These photos from the last championship held at Ampleforth in 2005, acknowledge Justin’s involvement.
