I.C.C.F.

Review by Michael Blake

The International Correspondence Chess Federation are the world governing body for correspondence chess. As such ICCF titles hold global credence and if you are serious about your chess you will play with ICCF. The less serious players will also find plenty of tournaments that offer a wide range of events for players of all standards.

ICCF are one of the worlds' really true global organisations, membership is via your national body although there does exist a facility for 'direct entry' to some tournaments. At present there are more than 60 national member organisations with more than 100,000 individual players.

The ICCF web site has plenty to offer all current, potential and past players. The Game Archive alone contains more than 27,000 games for download, these are available as a free download and are an excellent source to find out more about your opponents or just study a few games.

The site is updated very frequently with almost daily news items and tournament updates. If you would like to learn more about correspondence chess or just want to find out what is happening on the International scene, a regular visit to ICCF.com is essential.
