BRITISH WEBSERVER TEAM TOURNAMENT
1. The Webserver Team Tournament of the BFCC shall be known as the British Webserver Team Tournament.
2. A Tournament Director shall be appointed by the BFCC. There shall be a sub-committee of three responsible for the general supervision of the Championship, of which one member shall be the Tournament Director.
3. The tournament shall be contested by teams of four (4) players in Divisions of seven (7) teams so that each player shall play six (6) games – one against the opposing board of each other team in the division. The Tournament Director shall have the power to vary the number of teams per division (and hence the number of games per player) dependent upon the number of entries. At least two members of each team must be British.
4. The top two (2) teams in each division shall be promoted. The bottom two (2) teams in each division shall be relegated. Ties shall be broken in accordance with ICCF Playing Rules for Teams. The winning team of Division One shall be British Webserver Team Champions. Each Team member of the Champion team shall be awarded a Medal.
5. A Team Captain must be appointed to every team who can be a playing or non-playing team member.
6. All games will be played on the ICCF webserver and will be subject to ICCF Playing Rules (for Team Tournaments by webserver) in being at the commencement date except as may be otherwise provided in these rules.
7. In the event of the withdrawal or death of a team member, players may be substituted/replaced in accordance with ICCF Playing Rules (for Team Tournaments by webserver). No player may play for more than one team in any one tournament season.
8. The Time Control shall be 10 moves in 40 days. The Playing Time of each tournament shall be sixteen (16) months after which all outstanding games must be adjudicated. The Adjudication Fee is £10 per player per game (cheque payable to “BFCC”); the fee shall be returned to the player whose claim is upheld. The Tournament shall have an eighteen (18) month Seasonal Schedule, although the Tournament Director has a right to vary this.
9. Any matters concerning the organisations and running of the tournament not covered in these rules or the ICCF Playing Rules shall be decided at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
10. Competitors may appeal against the decisions of the Tournament Director to the BFCC Secretary. Such appeal shall be e-mailed within seven days of receiving the decision in question. The appeal shall be referred to the Appeals committee of the BFCC whose decision shall be final.
11. The BFCC reserves the right to decline an entry or entries without stating a reason or entering into any further correspondence.
